Floating installation has become a very popular method of installation as of late but has been utilized in some countries for decades. This method either clicks or glues together and is NOT attached to your subfloor. There are different varieties of foam used as underlayment between the wood flooring and subfloor, and as always, we recommend that you follow manufacturer's specifications as closely as poosible.
